German Chocolate Cake

Cake:

1pkg (4oz) Bakers German Sweet Chocolate
1/2c Water
4 Eggs Separated
2c Flour
1t Baking Soda
1/4t Salt
1c Butter, softened
2c Sugar
1t Vanilla
1c Buttermilk

Bake @ 350 degrees in 3-9" round cake pans for 30 min

Melt chocolate and water and set aside.
Mix eggs and sugar together then add yolks one at a time. 
Alternate dry ingredients and buttermilk.
Add melted chocolate. 
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form and fold into mixture.

Frosting:

4 Egg Yolks
1 can (12oz) Evaporated Milk
1-1/2t Vanilla
1-1/2c Sugar
3/4c Butter
1pkg (7oz) Coconut
1-1/2c Chopped Pecans

Whisk yolks, milk and vanilla in saucepan until blended. Add Sugar and butter and cook on medium-high heat until thickened slightly. Remove from heat and add pecans and coconut and let sit until desired consistency.
